Nixe Negrin

Biography

Nixe Negrin is a theatrical sound design student at Ball State University who is in her second year. After having experience on a smaller scale in high school, she moved on to learn a lot about sound in college. She really enjoys how sound can affect a person’s state of mind, and hopes to use that power in theatre to tell stories beautifully and make special moments have a lasting impact. 

Being interested in all aspects of sound, Nixe loves all genres of music and regularly mixes for live esports production at Ball State University as well.

In the future, Nixe hopes to continue learning about the ever-evolving world of sound through use of new technology to become an essential piece in showing the world how powerful sound can be. She hopes to hone her craft while traveling all over the world as well. With a love for cultural diversity, doing shows in world cities or on cruise lines seems fascinating to her. 

To quote her favorite music artist, Andy Grammer, "I like to think of songs as invisible spiritual chiropractors, they bring us back to our center." That is the power that sound holds over our lives.
